Each year, children attending Carla Cristina schools need basic supplies, which most families don§t have the money to buy. Laura’s family is no different. She lives in Bello Horizonte, a neighborhood in Medellín, Columbia with her mom, grandparents and two cousins. Her mom, Yolanda, earns a minimum wage of $150 a month.

Laura is a student at the Santa Maria de Palestina School in Medellín. She enjoys to play with her friends and dolls.

Thank you for helping five amazing children in Medellín, Colombia, obtain necessary school supplies and attend pre-school. Paul, Alejandro, Juan Davis, Valentina, and Christian (right to left in photo) would not have access to education without your generosity!

Paul, a child with excellent cognitive abilities, lives with his father, mother and brother in Medellín. His father supports the family through his own small business while Paul’s mother is a housewife. Paul’s brother studies at the same Carla Cristina school.

Alejandro is a child who radiates joy in every moment. He lives with his mother, who supports the family through multiple jobs.

Juan Davis is a relaxed, warm boy who lives with his mother and baby brother.  His mother holds multiple jobs so her children can have access to education.

Valentina is fortunate to have two wonderful parents who support her. Her mother, Arelis, is a housewife, and her father, works as a mechanic.

Christian is a social boy who likes to play and share every day with his peers. He lives with his mother and father. The latter supports Christian and the rest of the family through his construction job.

Sebastian is a very kind child who is very well behaved. He lives with his mother and father. His mother is a housewife and his father is an independent seller, he earns a salary of $ 90 per month.

Davidson Barragán, lives with his mother and grandmother. His mother studies, and his grandmother takes care of household expenses, her grandmother is an independent business-owner and she earns a salary of $100.

Samuel has very good cognitive skills and likes to share with his friends. He lives with his mother and two siblings, his mother works as a housekeeper earning a salary of $190,

Yilver is another of the children of pre kindergarten. He is a positive leader within the group, he lives with his mother, brother and uncle. His uncle works as a laborer earning a salary of $200.

Rodimiro lives with his parents and 4 brothers who love and support him as much as possible.  Rodmiro’s father earns a salary of $300.

All children live in La Cruz neighborhood. The five kids are currently at the level of pre kindergarten.

Yenifer Andrea Soto Jimenez was born on May 25, 2007 in Medellin and lives in La Cruz neighborhood with his mother Sorany Soto Jimenez who is a housewife and has no income. Yenifer is a lovely girl who loves books and even more if they have cartoons.

Diego Alejandro Higuita was born on September 16, 2007 in Medellín. Her mother Leidy Johana Torres Higuita is a housewife. Diego loves to read text and images that inspire her mind and imagination.

Valeria Perez Higuita Michel, was born on October 27, 2007 in Medellin with his mother Gloria Patricia Higuita, who works as an operator and earns a salary of USD 200. His father works in different trades and and earns USD 150 per month. Valeria likes to fantasize in the world of literature, creating her own characters in the stories through ilustrated pictures.

Elizabeth Restrepo was born on October 10, 2007 in Medellin and lives in La Cruz neighborhood with his mother who worked in different trades and earns USD 150. She loves illustrated books and sharing with her friends.

Simon was born on August 29, 2007 in Medellin, lives in the neighborhood La Cruz with her mother Ofelia Dignora Montoya, who works in different trades and has an income of USD 75 per month. Simon likes to draw pictures, sculpt with clay and engage in other creative activities that engage his fine motor skills and artistic ability.

Carolina was born on November 4, 2008. She lives in La Cruz, Medellín in Colombia with her mother that is an independent worker. She earns $75USD per month. Carolina loves to play with her dolls and working with clay.
