Ximena (seated first from right) was born February 6th, 2008 in Medellín, Colombia. She lives with her parents and her aunt.
Her father is an independent worker and her father operates machinery; together they earn $400 each month. This income does not provide the family much leeway to support Ximena in her schooling. In addition to liking school, Ximena enjoys playing with dolls.

She lives with her brothers and sisters. Her father is a vendor and makes $120 each month, and her mother stays at home. The family’s income does not provide the family much leeway to support Luz in her schooling. In addition to enjoying school, Luz likes playing with dolls and playing in the kitchen.

Mariana (seated on the left) was born on January 1, 2008 in Medellín, Colombia. She lives with her mother, grandmother, and uncles.
Her mother works various jobs and has a meager annual income of about $200 dollars, which does not provide enough money to sufficiently support Mariana in her schooling. In addition to enjoying school, Mariana likes to play with cars.

He lives with his parents and grandparents. Luis’s father is a transportation coordinator and his mother stays at home. The family’s monthly income is a meager $270 dollars, which does not provide the family much leeway to support Luis in his schooling. In addition to liking school, Luis enjoys playing with cars and watching TV.

Linda (seated second from right) was born on October 15th, 2006, in Medellín, Colombia.
She lives with her mother, who is unemployed and lacks a means of income to support her and Linda’s brothers. Without income, Linda’s mother has been unable to provide Linda sufficient access to education materials that aid in her learning.
As she very much enjoys playing with dolls, playing in the kitchen, and painting she is very excited to have received a back to school kit.

Darwin (second from the left) was born in 2006 in Medellin, a large city in Colombia. He currently lives with his parents and siblings. His parents support the family working at the local market, where they earn about $380 a month. Darwin likes playing with cars and drawing.

Brahian is four years old and lives in Medellin with his parents and sister. His father is an independent contractor and makes $280 monthly. He enjoys playing ball games and going on rides on his father’s motorbike.
Andres is three years old and lives in Medellin with his siblings and parents. His father works for a material company and makes $240 monthly. Nothing makes Andres happier than playing soccer and playing with toy cars.
Karen is four years old and lives in Medellin with her mother and her grandparents. Her grandfather works for a local business and with this he makes $240 monthly. Karen absolutely loves playing with her kitchenette and with her dolls!
Yurani is three years old and also lives in Medellin with her parents and brother. Her father works for a local company and makes $240 monthly. Like Karen, Yurani loves her kitchenette and dolls.
Eric is three years old and lives in Medellin with his great grandmother, his grandparents, his uncles and his mother. His grandfather is an independent contractor and makes $240 monthly. He enjoys playing ball games and with his toy cars.

Edison is four years old and lives in Taraza with his parents and siblings. Like Carlos, he enjoys playing with cars and solving puzzles. His mother is a housewife and his father is a working class gentleman. He earns 270 dollars monthly.
